My wife surprised me for my birthday yesterday by getting me the Russian-language version of the Rosetta Stone software, levels 1 and 2. I’d been talking for maybe a year about how I wanted to get it, but it never seemed like the highest priority at any one time. That’s what makes it such a nice gift — I wanted it but couldn’t justify getting it for myself. I’ll be able to study Russian again, and after two years of not studying, I wonder how bad I’ll be.
