Maybe you’re always caustic?

You went to Folklife prepared to hate on everyone there, but you secretly had a good time. In fact, the absence of a Hacky Sack (that’s the correct spelling, according to that unwieldy tool called Google search) demonstrates that it wasn’t quite as cliche an event as you thought it would be. But that didn’t stop you from a being condescending prick about people in costume or from putting words in “quotation” marks for “no” apparent “reason.”

Your kids, however, were immune to your dour attitute, enjoying themselves despite their chaperone. Then–God forbid there may be another appealing event–volunteers were handing out Hempfest handbills. But there’s no reason to promote the Hempfest because the stoned people who remembered to attend Folklife would be too stoned to remember go to Hempfest, or something… Har, har. You ought to stick to writing code, you closet hippie.
