Privacy Concerns with VS 2008 (ScriptDocuments)

Software

This is a little disconcerting:

VS 2008 Script Documents

What seems to be happening is that VS 2008 is tracking all of my activities in Internet Explorer and appending the scripts that I have browsed into this “Script Documents” folder in the Solution Explorer.  Long hmmmmm.

A quick google suggests that this may have been happening in earlier versions as well, only not as obviously.  Scott Guthrie describes the Script Documents feature here; it’s a way to enable easy JavaScript debugging from within VS.

I think what’s been happening is that I’ll F5 into a debugging session, then get distracted and start tabbing out to new websites within the same instance of IE.  Hence the scripts from Digg, CenterNetworks, etc.   Maybe it’s not such a huge deal.
