I’m tired of Information Week and their constant Microsoft-bashing. Of their Top 10 Open-Source Software Stories of 2007, 3 were snippy attacks on Microsoft, and almost all of the “stories” were boring legal navel-gazing that left me sleepy (admittedly, I have been awake since 4:30 AM).
Where are the positive stories? What new tools, new technologies, new products, new ways of doing business were invented? You might visit the InfoWorld site from a few months ago for ideas, except for the fact that they put CruiseControl on their list (see my problems with CruiseControl here).
In my mind’s eye, here’s how I envision the joyless editor-in-chief of InformationWeek:
“Mr. Burns, let me remind you that our job is to LITIGATE, not make people happy!”
